Over the next 3-years the main focus of the Zone will be on capital investment in infrastructure and improving the environment for both business and residential communities. Alongside this investment it will be important to also provide the appropriate business support and raise skill levels.

Specifically the Zone will focus on three key strategic special priorities over the long term, City Centre, Chatterley Valley and Medical Technologies, which will also maximise the potential of the new hospital. In the shorter term a fourth priority will be the re-development of Burslem town centre. These priorities will be supported by thematic activity centred around; enterprise, learning and skills, providing jobs for local people and improvements to the image and environment of the area.
